The CW announces early renewals for The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and 90210. Renewals of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural came to no surprise for me…but I still can’t wrap my head around 90210.
Anyways…this comes as bittersweet news for me. With the renewal of 90210, it doesn’t look good for the remaining shows. Ringer isn’t a ringer for renewal…in fact, it would take an act of God for it to be renewed. It’s pretty much a goner. So…the remaining shows are in trouble: Gossip Girls, The Secret Circle, Nikita, and Hart of Dixie.
Please note that I am not including The L.A. Complex in this group because technically, CW cannot cancel it. It’s already been renewed for a second season in Canada. But…The L.A. Complex will probably not be on the fall schedule because of the low ratings.
So…which shows do I think are in trouble??? Here’s the breakdown:
- Gossip Girls will be renewed for a 13 episode pickup to conclude the series (final season pickup)
- Ringer will be CANCELLED
- The L.A. Complex will not be picked up by CW to air the second season.
- Nikita – I hate to say this…but CANCELLED
- Hart of Dixie – Depending on the final two episode ratings – will be renewed for a second season.
- The Secret Circle – Picked up for a Second Season – but moved to Fridays.
WE will have to see if my predictions are correct May 17th!
