For those of you who have not watched last night’s episode of Jane by Design…this post will contain details about the episode, and some spoilers. You have been warned.
Last night ABC Family premiered an all new episode of Jane by Design. This episode seemed to have a similar feel to it…like I watched the episode before. Don’t get me wrong…I love the show, but, last night’s episode seemed…unoriginal.
Once again, Jane is trying to play “nice” with Billy and Nick (she’s still trying to figure out what’s going on with her and Nick). Anyone else just want her to get over Nick and go for Billy! I’m like…Nick is hot and nice, but Billy and Jane have WAY more chemistry. Anyways…Jane asks Billy and Nick to hang out (all three of them together). Billy agrees (reluctantly), and so does Nick.
Jane (once again) opens up her mouth and gets Donovan Decker in trouble…where Jane, India, Jeremy, and Carter stay all night to design a whole new wedding dress for socialite Charlotte Whitmore. This is getting a bit unoriginal. Jane always getting the company in trouble only to save it…they need to start introducing some other form of drama. Though it was nice to get away from the Billy/Lulu drama, and Nick/Jane romance, and focus more on her abilities to design a dress.
So…that leaves Billy and Nick to hang out…all by themselves. I actually really enjoyed their scenes together. It was nice comic relief from the stressful Jane/Jeremy situation. Billy and Nick end up getting in a fight
with Adam, Adam, and Adam (yes, they were all named Adam)…and Billy accidentally gets Nick punched in the face, and Nick accidentally gives Billy a black eye.
Back at Donovan Decker, Jane designs the perfect wedding dress, but India takes credit for it. Jeremy doesn’t know who to believe, and becomes focused on just finishing the dress. Finally, Jane has proof that she was the one who designed the dress (by showing a picture of her mother in a similar dress design). Jeremy and Carter tell Jane she needs to tell Gray about what India did (which would get her fired, but she doesn’t). Awesome for Jane being a good person, but I was upset she didn’t do something about it! I hate India…a lot.
Jeremy finally breaks things off completely with India because of what she did. At least she got a little bit of punishment from it.
Overall, it was a good episode…but I just thought it was unoriginal. I’m thinking next week’s episode will be SO much better! I’m really looking forward to it!
